Gratitude An Absolute For Success

Gratitude An Absolute For Success
"Of all the attitudes we can acquire, surely the attitude of gratitude is the most important,

and by far the most life-changing."

- Zig Ziglar

GRACE ISN'T A LITTLE PRAYER YOU CHANT BEFORE RECEIVING A MEAL. IT'S A WAY TO LIVE. ~Attributed to Jacqueline Winspear

"YOU SIMPLY WILL NOT BE THE SAME PERSON TWO MONTHS FROM NOW AFTER CONSCIOUSLY GIVING THANKS EACH DAY FOR THE ABUNDANCE THAT EXISTS IN YOUR LIFE. AND YOU WILL HAVE SET IN MOTION AN ANCIENT SPIRITUAL LAW: THE MORE YOU HAVE AND ARE GRATEFUL FOR, THE MORE WILL BE GIVEN YOU." - Sarah Ban Breathnach

"MANY PEOPLE WHO ORDER THEIR LIVES RIGHTLY IN ALL OTHER WAYS ARE KEPT IN POVERTY BY THEIR LACK OF GRATITUDE." - Wallace Wattles

One of the quotes above from one of my mentors, is easier said than done some days, especially when life is not giving us what we want or think we deserve. Knowing our own personal experiences and that of the teachings of so many of the masters through the ages, the need for us to exercise our gratitude muscle more and more is powerful in many ways for our health, our relationships, and our self efficacy. There is no doubt that this key ingredient is also an absolute for creating income from home. There is not a home based success story that does not emphasize the importance of this discipline!

Whether you feel you have the gratitude piece as a primary focus of your life or you feel you need a refresher, here are a few ideas that we have implemented that make a difference. The power of our focus is important and the power of gratitude to create an attitude of peace and abundance is a gift. So will not only incorporating more gratitude give you more success in your efforts to make the extra money from home, but it will make you a better person, one people are naturally drawn to as you build that income from home network!

1. Before arising in the mornings, challenge yourself to come up with ten things for which you are grateful. It's difficult to get out of the bed on the "wrong side" when this discipline is followed.

2. Pick a stone or object to carry in your pocket each day. This is a reminder to be grateful. Each time you touch the stone focus for a moment on being grateful.

3. Tell at least one person each day (besides the ones you daily do this with already) that you are grateful for the gift of their friendship.

4. Keep a journal by your bed and before you go to sleep, write down at least 5 things you can give thanks for that day. A challenge is to write five different things each night and keep that up for as long as possible.

5. During Thanksgiving week or anytime, make a Thanksgiving banner and ask family members to write at least one thing they are thankful for each meal. Children seem to really enjoy this activity, and it gives a visual reminder of gratitude.

6. Give yourself a challenge to transcend our complaint based life that most of us live. Go one 24 hour period without one complaint. Even if you don't make it the first time you try, you raise your awareness to another level. One you have reached that 24 hours of no complaints, reflect on how it feels and challenge yourself to another 24 or 48 hours.

This are just a few ideas, we have used to cultivate more gratitude. What about you, we would love hear what has supported you in this important life skill.
